'This is how it's meant to be' on Hollyoaks!

"He only sees shadows behind shadows
And he’s been like this a while
For he keeps forgetting that every shadow
needs light to survive"

I wrote this song a while ago now, I think it was when I was living in Cambridge in 2004.
It appeared on my first solo album called 'Photos.Fires.Fables.' and has since been re-recorded live in a wintery barn in Norfolk with The Red Clay Halo.

On Friday 29th October 'This is how it's meant to be' (live, wintery barn version) is being used in the closing sequence of Hollyoaks (a long standing British television soap opera centred around a higher education college.)

We have created a discount code for the 7” single which is valid from now until 29th Nov. All you have to do is write ‘hollyoaks’ at the check out stage of purchasing the single.

"This is how it's meant to be apparently this is for a reason
this is how it's meant to be but we can't seem to find the reason"

Wallander hits the USA!

Series 2 of Wallander has begun airing on PBS in the states!
Last week I spoke to MASTERPIECE'S Bruce Kohl about Nostalgia...

Only in its second season, Wallander has already become unmistakable — for its ethereal scenes of Sweden, Kenneth Branagh's open-hearted portrayal of Kurt Wallander and unexpectedly, for it's haunting theme, "Nostalgia."

Penned and performed by 29-year-old Australian native Emily Barker and her group The Red Clay Halo, the addictive "Nostalgia" has become an award-winning hit for Barker. Barker spoke to Masterpiece's Bruce Kohl in October, 2010, about her surprising career boost thanks to a brooding Swedish detective
.

The full interview as well as a previously unheard demo version of Nostalgia recorded in 2007 can be found here:
