Gill Sandell who has done support for us on the whole of our Autumn tour.

"I am smitten by her beautiful music" For Folk's Sake
"...breathlessly pretty voice" Rock 'n' Reel

Tarry Awhile

October Tour Diary Part 2

We made history in the Red Clay Halo camp with hiring a splitter for the first time!

but we got a flatty within 40 minutes of being on the road : (

so we chased an AA vehicle around a services car park and sweet talked the mechanic...

it was a very happy ending : )

Dom ironing our Almanac t-shirts- I didn't know he had it in him!

Anna and Gill playing the Gill Sandell set in Fibbers, York

Johnny Barlow guitar tech at Gloucester Guildhall Cinema

The beautiful room at Gloucester Guildhall Cinema

Anna and Anna very proud of the merch cabinet display at Gloucester.

Still plenty of shows left!

Despite the Snow- film

This beautiful film by Patti Gaal-Holmes was inspired by Robert Graves' poem "She tells her love while half asleep."
She tells her love while half asleep,
In the dark hours,
With half-words whispered low:
As Earth stirs in her winter sleep
And puts out grass and flowers
Despite the snow,
Despite the falling snow.

I then wrote a song to accompany Patti's film which I called 'Despite the Snow.' It's available on 7" vinyl with a live version of 'This is how it's meant to be' that we recorded in a barn in Norfolk as the B-side.
You can listen/buy (also available as download) to both here: Despite the Snow.
**Note: the music doesn't start until 1 min 35 secs into the film.
