Hello,
Back in December we were asked to contribute a song to the Mojo cover mount album of Leonard Cohen covers. We were very happy to be asked but the problem was Emily was in Australia, Jo and Anna were on tour somewhere in the UK with The Unthanks and Gill was in London.
So I laid down guitars and vocals in Yallingup with Sean Diggins at The Tone Room (a studio made of hay bales); Gill Sandell put down accordion and bvox with John Clayton at OneCatStudio in Brixton; then Anna and Jo recorded cello, violin and bvox in a bedroom in Brighton belonging to James de Malplaquet of the wonderful band 'The Miserable Rich' (who also feature on the cover mount!) So, despite distances we got the recording together and are pretty chuffed with it.
You can listen to snippets of all the artists who contributed to the cd here: listen
It'll hit the shops today or tomorrow.
Hope you enjoy!
Best wishes
Emily
